Smoky Date Not Ketchup combines sweet California dates with aromatic smoked paprika. A smoky, tangy sauce that pairs beautifully with meat and cheese, especially pork tenderloin, pork chops, lamb, roast chicken, turkey, and aged cheeses like sharp Cheddar or Manchego. Use as a dip, marinade, grilling glaze, baking sauce, or roasting sauce.
The backstory: I created Not Ketchup last year when I was drowning in a sea of extremely ripe fruit and got completely sick of making jam. "Can you make ketchup out of fruit?" I wondered. Turns out you can and it's DELICIOUS!
I make Not Ketchup gourmet dipping sauces with ripe fruit, farm-fresh onions, pure apple cider vinegar, and natural sweeteners. No white sugar, no preservatives, and no artificial colors or flavors.
All Not Ketchup sauces have been lab-certified GLUTEN FREE.
* Use Smoky Date Not Ketchup to glaze a baked ham
* Mix it with Dijon mustard and olive oil, then use it to dress a salad with greens, crumbled feta cheese and toasted almonds or pistachios
* Put it on a grilled cheese sandwich – try a nice aged Cheddar or smooth Gouda
* Brush it on a store-bought rotisserie chicken - a few minutes in the oven and you've got a gourmet meal
Enjoy your Not Ketchup, and thanks for supporting my new business!
